Looking to Develop Strong Parenting Techniques and Strategies?

“Just a few years ago, we were changing diapers, reinforcing basic manners, ferrying kids here and there, assisting them with homework, watching them play…our children were still within our control. But then along came a phase change that sent us scrambling back for more education: a graduate course in “Teenagers.” –Parenting Teens with Love and Logic

Whether you’re hosting a Prep student or have teens of your own, you know the challenges that come along with this responsibility. You can often be found scratching your head, wondering, “What you did I do wrong?”  Or, you may wonder, “How can I restore or maintain a positive relationship with my teen while shepherding his heart as well?” It’s a heavy responsibility, and our team at Premier Education wants to offer you support, prayers, and tools as you undertake this huge responsibility.

One way you can develop useful parenting techniques and strategies is to enlist the help of parenting experts. Foster Cline and Jim Fay wrote a book titled Parenting Teens With Love & Logic to help parents in today’s world. They know that teenagers face a large number of choices and opportunities. They provide you with techniques to help you tackle subjects and teach responsible decision-making.

They help you approach issues facing teens such as:

  1. Drugs, alcohol, smoking,  and sex
  2. Peer Pressure
  3. What happens if they break the law and who pays the bail
  4. Violence in school and on the street
  5. Give them the tools to face the choices of today’s world

“To help our children gain responsibility we must offer them opportunities to be responsible, rather than order them to do what we think is responsible.” – Jim Fay

Ultimately, we want to prepare our adolescents for responsible adulthood, while also loving God with all their heart, soul, and minds. It’s a big task and our team at Premier Education is here for you. We have a team of caring advisors, advocates, planners, and our amazing founder, Ed Wu, who pours his life into the students and families involved with our ministry. We also will make every effort to highlight tools that will help you with your parenting and hosting journey. We’re thankful for you and praying God’s blessings over you as you are ministers of the Gospel in your home.
